MEET DORI

Meet Dori Middlebrook

Dori found her interest in educational consulting when assisting her own daughter and friends with their college search. She was intrigued by everything that comes together in the process to help a student find a school that is the right “fit” academically, socially and financially. Her experience as a mother, empathetic personality, and strength in organization skills make her a valuable asset in the college evaluation and application process. Dori has been practicing as an Independent Educational Consultant since 2011. Since then, she has helped over 300 families navigate the college preparation and application process with ease.

Dori has lived in Encinitas and Carlsbad for over 20 years and has been an active member of the community where she has raised her 3 daughters. She has been involved with PTA and fundraising efforts at Olivenhain Pioneer Elementary, Diegueno Middle School, and La Costa Canyon High School. She was an active member of the National Charity League for 12 years.

Dori has a BA from San Diego State University. She had a successful career in sales and marketing before staying home to raise her children. In the summer of 2011 she completed the Certificate program in Independent Educational Consulting at UC Irvine. She attended the IECA summer training institute at Swarthmore College summer of 2010. In 2017 she received her Certified Educational Planner Credential. She is an active member of WACAC , NACAC , HECA , and a professional member of the IECA. Dori makes frequent college visits and attends conferences to stay current in the ever-evolving college admissions world.

Dori’s goal is to help students find the right “fit” when it comes to college.
